Steinhatchee Falls

2 Chicas Surrender to the Falls
SteOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA inhatchee is a little coastal town about five miles away from Steinhatchee Falls.
There are a number of areas to stay and a couple of places to enjoy the food, winding river and the wildlife views.
Go across the Memorial Causeway to get a different overview of the water.  The 2 Chicas got to see a bald eagle soar above the bridge, and suddenly with his talons down, plunge downward toward the river.  When he returned to our sight he had his lunch!
Chica 2 wanted to plunge into the river and see what she would come up with, but the last thing she needs is another head injury. Tee hee hee….
Well, 2 Chicas better hit the road; much like the Steinhatchee River, we both keep meandering along until we get to our next destination.
Both the Falls and the 2 Chicas are on a calm and peaceful journey.
Steinhatchee Falls was an incredible adventure into tranquility and beauty.  You turn onto a dirt and gravel road and bump your way to the park.  It is very small, but it will make a powerful impact on you.
There are a few picnic tables, a porta potty, one shelter, and a boat launch, but don’t get distracted.
The falls are just right there in front of you.
Take the steps down and get up close and personal with them as they cascade off the jutted rocks into the stillness of the Steinhatchee River.
The constant rushing water of the falls contrasts so perfectly with the incredible calm of the river.
Butterflies were dancing about down by the river as if they too were mimicking the area from great motion to complete stillness.
Pack a lunch and enjoy your time by these wonderful Florida falls.  The sound is truly amazing!
 Leave us your thoughts!
